On the 24th of August 2019, the Science Association organized a field trip to the picturesque village of Aldona. Fifty eight students, accompanied by four teachers left the institution at 8.45 a.m., to reach Aldona at 9.00 am. The students were shown locally grown vegetables like ladyfingers, matti gosali (smooth gourd) pumpkin creepers and local palak (kuddu). They were shown pepper, cinnamon, chilly plants, pal panas (sour sop ) and their uses were explained to them by the  local people. The Pineapple cultivation and the Composting of manure was explained to them by Mrs. Piedade from Corjuem who is passionate about plants. She also showed them many ornamental plants and some beautiful flowers. Later they were taken to an open space and  were shown the wild gourd (faglam) growing in the wild. They were also shown Star fruits (Karmala). The students also visited the Corjuem fort. They returned to the school campus at 2.00 pm.

The day was well spent in the midst of nature.
